Why Donate

42 years of mega-tons of trash imports and its toxic aftermath is enough. Please help us end this now.

Polar

Up to 6,000 Tons of Trash.
Dumped on Our Doorstep.
Every Day.

Every Dollar Brings Us Closer to a Cleaner, Safer Future.

Here’s another reason for donating: Seneca Meadows’ parent company paid over $280,000 during 2019-2021 to a Super PAC that backed town board members who support landfill expansion while attacking members who support the landfill’s scheduled closure.

Understanding the Challenge and Making a Difference Together

In the Finger Lakes region, our two mega-landfills have posed significant environmental challenges for years, impacting air quality, water resources, and the overall health of nearby ecosystems. The harmful effects of these mega-landfills, including toxic gas emissions, groundwater contamination, and their contribution to climate change, are why we will not rest unil the second one of these landfills is closed.

We believe that stopping the Seneca Meadows landfill expansion is a critical step toward meaningful change. That’s why your contributions are so crucial. Your dollars support this effort. Your dollars also help amplify the message that, every year, governments and taxpayers are unknowingly funding a broken system that incentivizes landfilling instead of solutions that reduce, reuse, and recycle. The more waste they dump, the more they profit—while we watch our environment crumble and resources disappear.

By partnering with us, you’re helping break the cycle of unnecessary burial of waste and creating a future where waste is seen as a resource, not a problem.

Institutions, especially regulatory agencies, can’t save us; but mass mobilization (help from people like you) can.

See How Your Contribution Is Making a Difference

With your help, we’ve already:

  • Made dozens of legal challenges to governments and landfills companies.
  • Sponsored environmental (air) testing to protect community health.
  • Hosted educational workshops that inspire sustainable living practices.

We are committed to transparency in our work and pledge every contribution in furtherance of our mission to reduce the harmful impacts of landfills. Together, we can build a future where waste management prioritizes environmental stewardship and community well-being.

Thank you for being part of this important journey.
